The Bushes were known for not drinking and going to bed early. Now, with Obama in office, Washington is braced for a new energy at the White House in the entertaining vein as well as the governmental one because Barack and Michelle have a penchant for good wine. Reportedly.

The Obamas have a 1000 bottle wine cellar in Chicago. No news on whether it was moved to the White House which I suspect has or will have shortly an amazing wine cellar of its own. No report on the wine type Obama favors but it would have to pair well with Italian, Mexican and Soul food because those are his favorite foods, at least one would guess by his favorite restaurants in Chicago: Cafe Spiaggia overlooking Lake Michigan where he and Michelle celebrated their anniversary and Rick Baylass’ Topolobampo, described as a”high-end homage to regional Mexican cooking.”
