Winter menu and Valentine’s Day, magazine shoots and reshoots

January 21st, 2008 · No Comments

Rob Keener and the management team have finalized the winter menu which should be up on Flight’s website soon. Our regular customers are saying that the scallop appetizer is the best new thing. We’d love to hear what you think.

Valentine’s Day is on a Thursday this year which is also martini night. We’re working on a Valentine’s martini, but from checking around on the web most of them are made with chocolate. I’m thinking something less sweet made with either pomegranate or cranberry juice. Any ideas?

Mountain Traditions, a local Hendersonville magazine, came to Flight for a photo shoot last week. Here’s a photo of Michael Justus and Rob Keener styling a dish. The photos will accompany a story written by Terry Ruscin. The magazine will be out sometime this spring. Meantime, Southern Living magazine called to say they are scheduling Flight for a reshoot of the photos they did last March. Not enough photos of the vault and the exterior. They are coming back in March. We need to have diners who want to be in the photos! Let me know and I’ll give you a call when I find out exact dates.
